2012 Bring it!

So, another new year.  I was just explaining to our children that this is the last year we can date anything with the same number (12-12-12).  P.J., whom is always thinking one step ahead, pointed out "until we reach the 2100's".

I have not made any resolutions this year, but I thought this would be a grand time to begin a blog.  I have many friends on my FB page inspire me to do so.  Even if no one reads this, my life and memories will be put into words to share with dear friends and family members for years to come.  I am pretty darn excited!

Any other night of the year, staying up until midnight (at the least)  is never an issue.  However, the pressure of being up to watch a ball drop or cheers with friends is tiring in itself.  I did make it this year though, as did the rest of the family.  The funny thing is that regardless of the time the little ones actually go to sleep (ahem.....1:15) does NOT effect the time they wake up  (once again...ahem...6:30)!  Thankfully our "little ones" are turning into "big ones" and can scramble up some breakfast on their own :)

Aside from birthdays and holidays, we have 3  big events in preparation for this year.

  • First, Pauls parents are celebrating their 50 Anniversary this month with family and friends flying/driving in for a celebration weekend.

  • Second, my little sister (whom happens to bigger than me)  is turning 21 in August!  Get ready to rock the house Elizabeth!

  • Last but not least, I get to plan a wedding!!!  Well, ok....not a wedding...but the party of our life!  Paul and I have been married for 9 years already, but never had a wedding or reception.  So, for our 10th Anniversary in November 2012, we are planning a Re-newal Ceremony with a reception to follow.  I have already scoped out some beautiful dresses.  I feel like a giddy youngster being proposed to and have started planning!

I realize this a pretty short entry (not too bad for a beginner, eh?) but I want to wish you all a very happy new year from our family to yours!
